Ba bada ba ba ba ba baaaaaaaaaa!!!!! It’s here, people! Bite Beauty has officially launched their Amuse Bouche collection of lipsticks at Sephora!
What’s bigger than this release is that it’s replacing their Luminous Créme Lipstick line. While the exact changes to this new line as compared to the Luminous Créme collection are a little vague, what we DO know about the new collection is that it’s just as full of antioxidants, food-grade, and color-drenched pigment. To add to this, I now also know that these babies have a lovely citrus-y scent, which smells a lot like the citrus mango scent I got added to my own custom Bite lipcolors at the Bite Lip Lab in NYC. Since it was their most popular scent, it looks like corporate took notice and added it to the Amuse Bouche collection. Good choice, Bite, because it smells divine.
With 33 colors, there are way more shades than the Luminous Créme collection offered. But if you’re worried that your favorite color might be discontinued, you might be in the clear. Some of the Luminous Créme colors are carrying over into the new collection, and they are: Pepper, Fig, and Tannin.
Whenever there’s a reformulation, you have to realize that there will inevitably be a color change. Whether this color change is slight or obvious can be variable.
To give you a sense, I’ve taken comparison photos of ‘Pepper’ in the original Luminous Créme formula and the new Amuse Bouche formula:
Courtesy of the lovely Influenster & Bite campaign, I received Pepper as well as two more colors. See them below!
Honestly, I don’t know which color I love the most. Pepper has always been a favorite of mine. When I worked in retail at Sephora, I found it looked amazing on almost every single skin tone. Warm, cool, light, dark, young, or old. It looked flattering on anyone.Gazpacho is absolutely LOADED with color. It’s a rich red that wavers between blue-based and tomato-y, which would make sense, as gazpacho is a tomato-based soup. SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE!
Beetroot is an amazing color for fall, which is why I’m kind of bummed that fall is almost over. Although, if you’ve been reading fashion and beauty mags lately, you’ll see that fall-hued lips are still going to be totally ‘in’ for Spring. Yay for more time to wear this lipstick!!!
So GET AT IT, ladies, gents, and all you bad bitches in between. These colors will look great on all y’all.
And if you’re a blogger and haven’t signed up for Influenster yet, you ABSOLUTELY should. I signed up, because of this Amuse Bouche campaign, and, within weeks, I received the kit. Very pleasantly surprised and how quick the turnaround was. Holla atcha, Influenster!
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own.
